My oldest son has graduated from boot camp and has become a Marine. I never dreamed a child of mine would ever do this so it was quite the shock. But I always said I want for my children that which would make them happy and so ... I share my pride in him for doing what he wants and taking a leap into this new life adventure.

Friday, Black
This is tomorrow in Recruit's world.
The drill sergents certainly look like they must be having fun.
I've been lurking around and reading your posts - well done! If you haven't watched the series "Ears Open - Eyeballs click" you should. It is the most realistic of all videos out there regarding boot camp. PFC Corbin watched it over and over and over again. I watched it as well before he left so that I would an idea of what he would be subjected to.
He is well into the regime now and I am sure kicking butt! If you haven't already made plans to attend his graduation day - I would start. I don't know how far you live from MCRD, but it was worth every single dime we spent. It was the most amazing experience, the most inspiring and the most patriotic thing I have ever experienced. SOmething you will never get to experience again.
You also get a good taste of what they went through for the past several weeks as well, meet their DI's who have made him the Marine he is going to be, and meet his other brothers with whom he now shares a bong that no one else will ever understand, not even his wife.
Hope all is still going well, and can't wait for the next post of his adventures.
:-( Lots of emotion
